The Design.
The intention was to create a light and airy atmosphere,
reminiscent of a traditional Olive press with the overtones of an open plan Art Gallery.

All main rooms have uninterrupted 180 degree sea views with large openings.

The exterior of the property sympathetically blends into its surroundings "as if it had always been there", using local stone excavated from the site.

Thermal values
An insulation membrane, air-gap and waterproofing have been
incorporated into the 60cm thick walls throughout the
building, resulting in a high thermal value rating.

Double insulation has been applied to the south facing roof, creating an exceptionally cool house in summer and warmth in winter months.

2 coats of high quality, invisable waterproofing has been applied to all external house stone works and hidden integral brickwork

Services corridor and future technical development.

Underground, behind the house there is a services corridor that houses mains electrical, server cabling, solar conduits. Pipework for mains water, rain water collection, central heating, air conditioning, gas feed and irrigation systems.

All these services are placed in open gantries for easy access for maintenance and installation of any technical advances that will are made in the future.
